AuraDesk is a Chrome extension that turns the new tab page into a calm, cinematic workspace with animated themes, ambient sound, lightweight planning tools, search, optional new tab visual effects, and Aura Space, a private board for user-added visual inspiration.
What AuraDesk stores
- Your selected theme, language, sound preference, and effect settings
- Date-based to-do items created in the new tab experience
- Shortcut preferences you create or edit
- Aura Space items you add yourself, including links, titles, tags, collections, extracted colors, and SVG palette exports
- Images you explicitly choose, drop, or paste into Aura Space
AuraDesk stores settings and Aura Space metadata locally in your browser. Images added to Aura Space stay in the extension's private local image storage. AuraDesk does not upload or transmit this content to AuraLab.
What AuraDesk does not collect
- No account registration data
- No password or payment information
- No advertising identifiers
- No personal browsing history uploaded to AuraLab servers
- No automatic collection of webpages, webpage images, bookmarks, or browsing history
- No transmission of Aura Space links, images, tags, collections, or extracted colors to AuraLab servers
- No sale of personal information
How permissions are used
- storage is used to save local settings, shortcut preferences, to-do items, and Aura Space metadata. Images added to Aura Space remain in private local extension storage and do not require an additional permission.
- search is used only for keyword searches entered in the new tab search box. AuraDesk uses the Chrome Search API so searches respect your selected default search provider. URL-like inputs are opened directly.
Data sharing
AuraDesk does not sell, rent, or transmit your personal data or Aura Space content to AuraLab servers. When you open external links or shortcuts, you are visiting third-party services you selected yourself.
Data retention
AuraDesk keeps local settings, shortcuts, to-do entries, and Aura Space content on your device until you edit or delete them, clear extension data, or uninstall the extension.
Feedback submissions
If you choose to send feedback through the AuraDesk feedback form, the information you submit, including your answers and any optional contact email, will be used only to review product feedback, improve AuraDesk, and reply when needed.
The feedback form is hosted through Tally, a third-party form processing service used to collect and review submitted feedback for AuraDesk.
